I am currently an undergraduate composition major at the New England Conservatory in Boston. I have been composing for about 7 years now. My works have been performed throughout the US by numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles, including the San Francisco Sinfonietta, Golden Gate Philharmonic, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute Orchestra. I have had private lessons and masterclasses with John Adams, Samuel Adler, George Benjamin, Paul Brust, Micheal Gandolfi, Richard Cornell, and Urs Leonhardt Stiener, among others, and I have been a student at the California State Summer School for the Arts and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. As a trumpet player I have performed extensively throughout the US with such ensembles as the California Chamber Symphony, the San Francisco Concerto Orchestra, and the Young People's Symphony Orchestra. I have also studied conducting with Greg Magie and Urs Steiner.
My biggest influences in composition are Mahler, Beethoven, Copland, Barber, Stravinsky, Berg, and Prokofiev.
