I woke up at 6:00am that morning to go to school, and it felt really weird. I hadn't heard about the twin towers yet, but it was really hot that morning and nobody was making any noise, i could only here a TV buzzing far away in the family room, that was kind of strange becasue Mum and Dad don't like watching TV in the morning, and my brother was still asleep. I went into the family room to see what was going on, and Mum was near tears and Dad was looking really worried and both their faces were glued to the screen, it was really scary, they didn't notice i came in untill i shook Mum and asked what was wrong. She just pointed at the screen. It was then when i actually paid attention to the screen, I saw all these people just fly out of a building, i din't know which building. My jaw just dropped. I have never seen something so terrible ever. Then the news reporter said that the tallest building int the world, the twin towers had just been hit by two aeroplanes and they replayed the planes going into the towers again and again. Then they showed the picture of the people spiralling out of the buildings. I was... speechless... I couldn't bear looking at the TV anymore, i just stood in my room, thinking what it would be like for the families of the the people that every one saw just falling out of the buildings. I didn't realise how bad it really was 'till i went to school. Nobody said anything. They just all walked really weirdly to a TV set in room 201, which has reception aand watched. I was really freaked out, then my friend, Kim came to school, she was crying so much her school dress was wet. I asked her what it was, but it was self evident, her uncle had been in the twin towers. We didn't do work at school that day, i hated that day, i felt so bad. I don't cope with grief well, when i'm sad i try and distract myselft, but i couldn't i just sat next to my best friend, Joycelyn, and cried. Like Kim.
